Local Purveyors
Salt | J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works
www.jqdsalt.com
They are from West Virginia and there is an amazing story behind it. It’s from a seventh generation West Virginia salt-making family who started making salt in 1817. It was chosen best salt in the world at the World’s Fair in London in 1851. We’re one of their first customers in this area and plan on buying a lot of their inventory.
Sorghum | Joe Trapp
He’s one of the few that grows old varieties of sorghum and cooks it the old-fashioned way. He’s also hard to get in touch with, which I kind of like.
Caviar | Kelley’s Katch

One of my favorite caviars in the country. It’s both sustainable and affordable.

It is extremely small scale, rare breeds, and the beef has an incredible depth of flavor, so much so that we took the bacon out of the burger at Husk Nashville.

We are using their buttermilk at Husk.

Nashville Farmer’s Market
It is open seven days a week, which is very rare, and it’s one of the best in the country. A lot of the same farmers that have been here for many years, so you get to know them, their seasons, whose strawberries and tomatoes you like the best. There are so many purveyors and also a beautiful nursery attached to it with lots of potted herbs and plants.
