A luxury Italian dining experience from the Mario Batali / Bastianich-family team with Mark Ladner, who was previously at Lupa, leading the kitchen as executive chef. Since opening they have been pushing to prove that Italian cooking can exist the the level of haute French cuisine. With dishes like Risotto with Lobster for two, Ricotta Pansoti with Wild Asparagus & Black Truffles, and a seven course tasting menu, you can see the emphasis is on the high-end.

I still think about our meal we had there and how pure and true the food was and is. Chefs like Brooks Headly of Del Posto - their food is forward thinking. Along with many others, he’s shaping what cuisine is in America and keeping us on the global map of good food.
The dishes here change so much because Mark Ladner is great about keeping everything seasonally appropriate. One of my favorite restaurants, but I can't pick just one dish.
