Shochu

A shochu tasting will awaken the palate and get you ready for the food. It’s normally around 25% alcohol, so it’s stronger than wine and sake, but weaker than vodka.

Distilled from a variety of sources (sweet potato, rice, barley, wheat, soba, dates, etc.). These sources give the shochu a unique flavor and aroma profile, from smooth and light (rice) to peaty, earthy and strong (potato).
