It might be the gastropub version of izakaya (bar) food, but the mochi croquette is perfect Japanese drunk food. Deep fried mashed potato stuffed with duck, covered with cubes of mochi rice cakes, and served in a rich broth. It screams for a glass of shochu on the rocks.
