Mojito
Cocktail recipe courtesy of Angostura Rum
Serves 1
Glass: Tall
Ice: Cracked / Crushed Ice
Garnish: Sprig of Mint
Ingredients
- 2 parts Angostura 5 Year Old Rum
- 4 lime wedges
- 12 mint leaves
- 1 part sugar syrup
- 1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
- Soda water
Directions
1) Add lime wedges, lime juice, mint and sugar syrup into a tall glass.
2) Muddle the ingredients (press, don't mash).
3) Fill the glass two-thirds with crushed or broken ice.
4) Add Angostura 5 Year Old Rum.
5) Stir frantically to bring all ingredients to the surface.
6) Pack with more crushed ice and top with just a splash of soda.
7) Add four dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters.
(Note: the glass should be over-whelmed with crushed ice)
