Back in 1959, long before Le Tub Saloon ever cooked their first burger, the space was a Sunoco gas station. In the early 1970s, it closed as a result of the energy crunch. The empty station was bought and transformed in 1974 into a multi-level Intra-Coastal Waterway restaurant. The owner personally built the restaurant with “flotsam, jetsam and ocean born treasures” gathered from his early morning runs along the beach.
Beyond the unique history and decor, Le Tub Saloon has garnered much attention for their sirloin burger. And if you time it right, there’s outdoor seating available on their deck, where you can watch the sunset over the waterway.
