WHAT THEY SAID
Farmers market, animal focused (with an emphasis on pig) menu changes daily. Bold flavors, interesting products, well-priced small producer oriented wine-list. Worth trying: pig ear with chili, lime and fried egg; smoked trout with avocado, poblano, corn, bacon, crema; sweet breads with hen of the woods mushrooms; bacon chocolate crunch bar with s&p anglaise. Chefs / owners Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo won Food & Wine Magazine’s 2009 Best New Chefs award.

I like the principal of the place. I think there are some really outstanding dishes. They take a lot of chances and I think that’s awesome.
Chef Jamie Bissonnette of Toro and Coppa
I ate about 4,000 calories the last time I ate here. Ears, foie, more foie, kimchee, pickles, sunny side eggs, more pork, and lamb. It was super rad. I dream of the crispy ears with sunny egg.

For their hamachi tostada. It’s really delicious. Chefs Jon and Vinny, even though they are not from LA, they really got LA right from the beginning.
