The Pros

Mojito

Yield

Serves 1


Glass: Tall

Ice: Cracked / Crushed Ice

Garnish: Sprig of Mint


Ingredients

- 2 parts Angostura 5 Year Old Rum

- 4 lime wedges

- 12 mint leaves

- 1 part sugar syrup

- 1 part freshly squeezed lime juice

- Soda water



Directions

1) Add lime wedges, lime juice, mint and sugar syrup into a tall glass.

2) Muddle the ingredients (press, don't mash).

3) Fill the glass two-thirds with crushed or broken ice.

4) Add Angostura 5 Year Old Rum.

5) Stir frantically to bring all ingredients to the surface.

6) Pack with more crushed ice and top with just a splash of soda.

7) Add four dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters.

(Note: the glass should be over-whelmed with crushed ice)

Daiquiri

Glass: Cocktail coupe

Ice: Cubed iced for shaking

Garnish: Lime wheel


Ingredients

- 2 oz. Angostura Reserva Rum (or Angostura 5 Year Old Rum to make a luxury daiquiri)

- 1.5 oz. lime juice

- 1 oz. simple syrup


Directions

1) Add ingredients into cocktail shaker.

2) Add cubed ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.

3) Strain through a sieve into a cocktail glass.

4) Garnish with a lime wheel.

Cuba Libre

Glass: Tall

Ice: Ice Spear or Ice Cubes

Garnish: Lime Wheel


Ingredients

- 2 oz. Angostura 7 Year Old Rum

- 1 oz. lime juice

- Fentimans Curiosity Cola


Directions

1) Fill tall glass with ice.

2) Add rum and lime juice.

3) Top up with Fentimans Curiosity Cola.

4) Stir gently to mix.

5) Garnish with a lime wheel.
