Di Pompelmo (Of The Grapefruit)

Recipe by Sother Teague



It’s got lots of notes of grapefruit and refreshing bitter. A great summer sipper, cheers!


Yield

1 drink


Glass: Old Fashioned

Garnish: Grapefruit Peel

Ice: Large Cubes


Ingredients

- 1 1/2 oz. Reposado Tequila

- 3/4 oz. Bittermens Citron Sauvage

- 3/4 oz. Cocchi Americano

- 1/2 oz. Aperol

- 2 dashes Hopped Grapefruit Bitters


Directions

1) Stir over ice.

2) Strain onto fresh ice.

3) Garnish with a grapefruit twist.

Reposado Tequila

Aged in oak barrels or casks for a minimum of 2 months and up to 11 months which results in a golden color and richer, more complex flavors.


 

Bittermens Citron Sauvage

A grapefruit based liqueur that can be enjoyed as a bitter grapefruit aperitif or used in place of triple sec for a when you are looking to accentuate bitter grapefruit flavors.


 

Cocchi Americano

An aperitif wine made from moscato d’asti along with  gentian, cinchona bark, other bitter aromatics, and orange peels and herbs. It’s produced in the region of Asti in Italy.
