The Sidebar project: a collaboration between Teroforma and urbancase.
WHY
Teroforma is a design incubator that pairs up designers from around the world with artisan-manufacturers to create useful and beautiful home products. urbancase is a designer of modernist furniture, accessories and lighting based on the philosophy of designing objects and spaces that contribute to a simpler, pared back lifestyle.

Crafted 001 - The Sidebar Project - Teroforma & urbancase
Over cocktails, two unique design studios, Teroforma and urbancase teamed up to create a collaboration in cocktail design. The Sidebar and the Sidebar Tumblers and Glasses were designed with the specific intent of being used alongside and to complement each other.
Sidebar by urbancase
urbancase is a designer of modern furniture, accessories and lighting based in Seattle, WA. The handcrafted cabinet is designed by Darin Montgomery and Trey Jones. The interiors of the compartments are incised with a pattern that refers to diamond tuck and roll upholstery and nods to vintage handbags and luggage.
The Sidebar will be made to order starting in July 2011 and urbancase is taking pre-sales orders. The walnut Sidebar is available for $3100.
Sidebar Cocktail Glasses by Teroforma
Teroforma was created in 2006 by Anna & Andrew Hellman as a way to meet interesting people, see new places and create beautiful things. They pair up designers from around the world with artisan-manufacturers to create useful and beautiful home products.
The Sidebar cocktail glasses: Double Old-Fashioned, Highball and Cocktail Glasses, are mouth-blown, non-lead-crystal, designed by Roman Vrtiska and made by Bohemia Machine. To make the glasses, they use a micro-format cutting technique that results in a pattern that echoes the Sidebar’s interior walls.
The limited edition Sidebar cocktail glasses are currently available and are made-to-order for:
- 12 oz. Highball, $65
- 7 oz. Double Old Fashioned, $55
- 4 oz. Cocktail, $55.
